COSTA RICA RAINFOREST AND CANO NEGRO (trip full)

This brief trip features easy paddling along wildlife rich rivers.  We start in the Tropical Rainforest and end in the Tropical Dry Forest.

Dec 18  After arrival in San Jose transfer to hotel in the Escazu mountains.  Further activities as time permits.

Dec 19  Visit La Paz Waterfall and hummingbird mirador en route to Sarapiqui.
After lunch paddle Rio Puerto Viejo through the tropical rainforest.
Overnight La Quinta de Sarapiqui.

Dec 20 Travel to Cano Negro possibly paddling Rio Frio or Rio Penas Blancas en route.
Overnight Cano Negro Fishing Club on the shore of the laguna.

Dec 21 Paddle from Cano Negro to Restaurant Las Vegas through wildlife filled channels.
After lunch,  Explore the channels upstream from our lodge where flocks of thousands of waterbirds are usually seen.
Overnight Cano Negro Fishing Club.

Dec 22 Return to San Jose with a stop at the Rio Corobici where we will see the tropical dry forest.
